Sitting at the breakfast table, I stare at him over a bowl of fruit. The last few months seem to have gone by in the blink of an eye. Marcus and I have spent a lot of time together, and our set-up has turned out to be nothing like I thought it would be. He’s kinder than I thought, sweet, and to be honest, I’ve developed feelings for him. How is that even possible? I’m supposed to be nothing more than a sugar baby, and yet the billionaire lights up my life in ways I never imagined.

“Busy day today?” Marcus asks me, pouring his normal tablespoon of cream and three sugars into his coffee.

I swallow my bite of fruit.

“Mm-hm. I have exams coming up, and they’re scary, but I think I’ll do okay.”

He smiles at me, and I got hot all over. What is it about this man that does it for me?

“You’ll do fantastic, sweetheart. I know you will.”

I smile happily at him. Most days, I go to school in a chauffeured car while Marcus goes to work. I get back to the mansion at about 3 o’clock and make sure that I get all my homework out of the way by the time he comes home at six. He’s usually right on the dot.

I don’t ever stay at the dorms anymore, which is nice since I no longer have to deal with Jolie and her little posse. Plus, I miss Marcus during the day, even though we’re only separated for about eight hours or so.

Recently, I found myself staring at the clock, waiting for him to get back, and excited to see him. He touches something in me, although I don’t know what it is yet. Plus, there’s the food, which is another amazing part of living here. Marcus’s private chef always prepares some sort of elaborate and delicious meal. Dinnertime is always a treat because in addition to the food, we sit and talk about our day: the good, bad, and ugly. I really connect with him on a level that’s extraordinary.

Plus, Marcus likes movies, so we’ve watched a lot of movies together when there’s some spare time. We never usually get to the end of a movie though because the fireworks between us are too strong. Sometimes we don’t make it off the couch because our need is that intense. But more often, Marcus stands up, takes my hand, and leads me up to his master suite before making passionate love to me all over again.

It’s crazy. The sex is out of this world, and by the time we’re done at night, I’m usually worn out and a bit sore. I have a separate room, but never spend any time there. I like sleeping in his bed to be honest, because it’s romantic and he always wraps his arms around me, making me feel wanted and secure. I’m still full of surprise at just how well everything is working out for us. It isn’t what I expected, but I’m not complaining.
